It is neither possible nor impossible.
The product itself is not so Large, so it does not dramatically improve the thermal protection.
It's better than nothing, I guess.
Design is safe and organized.
The installation itself is easy, but it's hard to remove the Bar End ….
If I didn't RenBarrel the Impact Driver at my local Home center, I probably wouldn't have been able to remove it.
If you can't remove the Bar End, you might want to use the Universal Product of Mirror Co-closing Type.

This hand guard is very soft and has good toughness. Installation is also very convenient and does not require modification.
